The Japan Foundation is pleased to open Travel Support for Scholars Attending the AAS 2026 Annual Conference in Vancouver, Canada, for Indonesian and Timorese scholars whose presentation proposals have been accepted by the AAS 2026 selection committee.
Eligibility:
● Indonesian or Timorese scholars
● Scholars with a Master's degree or above who are engaged in Japan-related research
● Scholars who can fully participate in the conference from 12 March - 15 March 2026
● Scholars who can communicate in English
● Scholars who will be speaking at the AAS 2026 Annual Conference
Coverage:
● Conference registration fee
● Airfare for a roundtrip ticket (discount economy)
● Accomodation for 5 nights (Check-in: March 11, Check-out: March 16, subject to flight schedules)
